The YMCA Before and Afterschool program provides youth with a safe place to go during out of school time. More importantly, it helps youth realize who they are and what they can achieve. Activities promote positive social interactions, indoor and outdoor play and reinforce academic and social learning concepts.

The West Cabarrus YMCA offers the space and time for kids to develop social skills and character values, learn by doing and acquire lasting memories. Activities include: homework room, devotions, snack time (provided by the Y), group games, crafts and so much more!

Kids Day Out and Break Camps
KIDS DAY OUT (KDO) is included in the cost of the Afterschool care program for teacher work days and most individual holidays. For an additional cost, BREAK CAMPS are available for scheduled weeks off during the school year.
Parents can have peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe, supportive environment that encourages children to grow and learn. Children make new friends, develop new skills and build strong values.
All KDO's will be held at the YMCA, 7:00 am - 5:45 pm. Kids will need to pack swim clothes, two snacks and a lunch each day.

The Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA has caring, compassionate, kid friendly staff who make a difference. All staff are trained in CPR, first aid, child abuse prevention, emergency procedures, bloodborne pathogens and more.
