Share the Harvest Community Farm was founded in 2015, and was built on a simple but powerful mission: to nourish both people and community.
We plant, grow, and harvest fresh, healthy produce that is distributed to neighbors in need throughout our surrounding areas. Beyond providing food, we create meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals and families who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Through hands-on education in gardening, awareness of local hunger challenges, and guidance on healthy cooking, we empower our community with the knowledge and resources to cultivate lasting change -from the soil to the table.
Run primarily by volunteers, the Farm has grown and harvested 115,842.4 pounds of fresh produce, which has provided 463,369 total servings to families in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties.

EDUCATION
From children to Active Older Adults, our resident Atrium Health Registered Dietitian hosts community cooking classes to promote healthy preparation and cooking for the produce we grow. The Farm has been the subject of many school projects by children and teens interested in agriculture, hunger and volunteerism.
HUNGER RELIEF
We are blessed to live in a community with so many organizations committed to alleviating hunger for our children and families. We partner with these organizations to ensure the maximum number of families have access to nutritional foods outside the typical canned and boxed food options.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Farm is a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to give back to their community. Whether it's planting, weeding or harvesting produce, or washing vegetables before they're delivered, there is something for everybody.
IMPACT
In 2025 Share the Harvest Community Farm grew, harvested and donated 7,976.4 pounds of fresh produce for Cabarrus and Rowan Counties. Since 2016, 115,842.4 pounds of fresh produce has been donated to our communities. That's over 463,369 servings!
